 Our Yappy Hour was a big success! These fabulous cookies came from Dachshund rescue - aren't they adorable?? Many new two legged and four legged friends came to see the new studio - and we had lots of fun. Here's some of our guests in their costumes!  I'll post more of our party pics tomorrow...

More fun with dachshunds...

There seems to be an unlimited supply of great dogs who need homes --which makes me sad. These beautiful dogs were the product of irresponsible breeding. They're "double dapples"  -- and have limited eyesight. They will live normal happy lives, but need someone who understands their special situation. They were lots of fun to photograph and make very good pets. Call DFW Dachshund rescue if you know someone who is looking for a really special dog like this!  

Love at any age...

I've always said that dogs are just "unconditional love on four feet"...and that is certainly true of Hannah. She's 15 years old and came to see me yesterday with her celebrity DJ Mom, Wendi. The two of them were obviously soul mates! I've had many calls from people with older dogs and it always makes me feel good to know that when they're gone, there will be beautiful pictures to remember them by. Hannah has a great smile (and, of course, so does Wendi!).

PUPPY LOVE

Families come in all shapes and sizes these days-- and images that reveal that relaxed, loving feeling are always my favorites. As life becomes busier and more complicated I think we all crave the simple things, don't you?

As a photographer I get asked "do you do nudes?" and I guess I'd have to say "Yes...yes I do!" Here's Annabel in the buff...

More calendar dogs!

We've almost finished with our calendar sessions. We have three more dogs coming this week and then we'll wrap it up and get down to the really hard work....sorting through all the images and choosing just 12! I must admit, I love them all! I had no idea there was such a variety, both in appearance and personality. My favorite this last week? Impossible to say. Harley was the all-time best kisser...but my heart also went out to Snoopy --who is almost blind and deaf-- and was still sweet enough to pose with a big red bow for what must have seemed like a really long time to him. Hmmm...and then there was Wilma in the tutu...
