Have you heard about The Portfolio Box?

I recently started using a new company for albums and portfolio boxes. The have gorgeous colors, textures and options for albums and portfolio boxes. I ordered a sample for the studio using some of the images from beautiful Sydney's Tutus & Tulips session and I think it's just gorgeous. And evidentally the Finao Company did, too --they've asked my permission to use my portfolio box as one of their samples! So beautiful little Sydney will be on display all over the country and you can say you saw it here first.

These boxes are big and beautiful - and wrapped with a beautiful canvas print of your child (or pet). We can even put your birth announcement design on the back! Each holds 15 matted prints which can be removed and put in a frame or on an easel and then returned to the box at any time. Great for preserving baby's first year memories as you can add portraits from different sessions as your child grows. The box sells for $750 and  includes prints, mats and all the design work.

The new background...

Many of my clients have been photographed on the beautiful "watercolor" background I had painted by local artist, JoAnn Vincent. I used it for all of the Tulips & Tutu sessions. It's beautiful and truly one-of-a-kind. I'm very proud of it.  But you probably don't know the artist. She has been doing lovely florals and landscapes for many years now, and has just survived breast cancer for the SECOND time. She had a double mastectomy  in October and finished chemotherapy about 6 weeks ago.

She's feeling strong enough to paint again, so I pulled out a blank canvas and put her to work! The photos below show the new masterpiece-in-progress. We decided to work on it in my studio, in the light for which it will be used. I am thrilled with the results - and in awe of the talent and strength of this woman. Thanks, Mom. I am humbled

I was sent a link to a video about a blind painter. And I thought, "okay, another good story about someone who has overcome their challenges" but WOW! This young man is amazing. This is not a cute little story about someone who has learned to paint a bowl of fruit by doing it over and over again. This is an artist expressing himself...and he's right here in our area. Watch it when you have time.

The new digs...

I'm planning an Open House, but here's a sneak peek! I didn't photograph the office because it's just too messy (big surprise) but you get the idea. Lots more space, lots more light, and plenty of good places to eat just outside my door. Let's do lunch!Studio_2 Studio_3

the purses are here!

Img_4844 This quick shot doesn't do them justice! They're beautiful and so nicely finished! Please or stop by and see them. We've got just enough time to get your order in for the holidays. There is another sample on the way --they look just as adorable with a child's face or a family portrait on them too :)
